Lazy, charmless staff serving lazy, charmless food in a nice setting overlooking the Möhnesee. Leave it to the staff of this "restaurant" to suck the joy out of a nice day. If the surly wait staff haven't broken you the kitchen staff will surely finish the job. I truly can't remember a worse lunch and even worse service.

This was an accidental find, for me. I needed somewhere roughly mid-point between Halle and Calais. I’d never actually heard of Möhnesee. Well, imagine my surprise! It’s a beautiful and popular area and this hotel looks out onto the beautiful lake. The room was small but clean and had everything that I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed the food and drink. I can heartily recommend this place

I really enjoyed my visit at the Forsthaus. It has a great location, right at the lake. You have a beautiful view over the lake from both inside the restaurant as well as the large outside terrace. The service was friendly and fast, and my generous salad with grilled chicken was very fresh and tasty. I can really recommend the Forsthaus.

The food here is just awesome! The waiter didn't always notice that our glass was empty but the food and lake was worth it all!! Super place

Went in for lunch service was really slow even allowing for the fact there were 16 I of us it was 40 minutes before we even got a drink we all ordered our meals then 20mins later were told their wasn't even for a particular meal but offered no alternative we soldiered on with the lunch with those with no meal opting for a plate of chips after 1 and a half hours meals started to arrive we started to eat only to be told that there were no chips left meaning those who couldn't get there preferred dish with nothing the alternative was potato croquettes highly disappointing no apology not even a reasonable excuse for this treatment wouldn't recommend a meal here
